According to Wind Point Village Ordinance, a permit is required for commercial photography or video at the Wind Point Lighthouse grounds. This includes:
- Wedding or Engagement Photography
- Formal School and Graduation Photography
- Family Photos or Portraits with a paid Photographer
- Any other Photography that will be used in the stream of commerce for merchandise or other purposes
A Photography Permit is NOT needed for informal, candid photography that will not be used for a business or commercial purpose. A permit is also not needed for photography or video taken on the south lawn or in the hall during a facility rental.
Permits are available for daily or annual uses. The Daily Permit is $30.00 and it is valid for the day that it was purchased. The Annual Permit is $100.00 and is valid during the year it was purchased (between January 1 and December 31). Permits are for use during normal park hours, 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Click a link below to obtain a permit now online. You will be directed to a form and then to a payment screen. The permit-holder is required to have an electronic version or hard copy of the permit and receipt while on the lighthouse grounds.
