Maintenance of the Wind Point Lighthouse grounds is publicly supported by tower tour revenue, grants, donations and local tax dollars. Monies are needed for day-to-day maintenance and utilities, as well as big-ticket projects like re-painting the tower, re-building the chimney and replacing roofs.
